Ryan Savio's Molecular Mixology

A class on Molecular Mixology was organised by 'The Elixir Club' on 12th of January 2012 at 'The Seminar Hall' of SIHA under the leadership of Ryan Savio D'souza for all the inmates of SIHA.Ryan Savio's class on Molecular Mixology revealed the science behind the making of modern cocktails.He called the concept as 'Cocktail Engineering' and told the audience that the techniques behind this latest art of mixology includes Spherification,Gelification, Emulsification and Thickening.He demonstrated it by making 'Cuba Libre 'cocktail both in the Traditional and Molecular Mixology way.The audience got the chance to taste the cocktails and the cola bubbles in Cuba Libra mesmerized everyone.

The Champagne Movie

The Elixir Club in association with 'The Elixir Communications' presented a movie on the making and serving of Champagne on 10th of January 2012.

Santa is making Cocktail

Santa is making cocktail was a cocktail making event organised exclusively for the elixirites.On 23rd of December 2011 at the ‘Time Out’ cafeteria of SIHA at 12.30 PM, 3 Santas prepared 3 different cocktails. Hangman’s Blood, Pomegranate Fizz and Creamy Christmas were the ones waiting for the verdict of the event judges. Savio Tellis, Akash Shetty and Tenzin Thophel participated in ‘Santa is making cocktail’ organized by ‘The Elixir’ Club of Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration, Mangalore.Each cocktail was unique in their own way and was well received by the audience.

‘Navidad’ went thriving

The Elixir organized X’mas tree making competition on 23rd of December 2011 at the ‘Time Out’ cafeteria of SIHA. Three team participated in this joyous celebration held primarily to commemorate Christmas. Participants were encouraged to use different decoration materials and lights. The event was judged by Mr. Amar Cherian and Mr. Terrence Rodrigues, faculties of Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration, Mangalore.

The Elixir X'mas Cards

For spreading the joy of Christmas and the message of love and peace, the elixirites made X’mas Cards and sold to the SIHA inmates. The cards were made under the leadership of Ms.Rainha Barretto, an active elixirite.The cards were priced @ Rs.25/- per set.

'Away in a manger' by The Elixir Communications

The Elixir Communications released a Christmas Music CD comprising of 15 songs. The CD was titled as ‘Away in a manger’ and it featured evergreen Christmas songs of Go Fish, Elton John, Celine Dion, Steevie Wonder etc.The CD was sold at an attractive price of Rs.50/-
