TIRANGAA-Know the flags of early India

To enlighten the students of SIHA about the early Indian flags, ‘THE ELIXIR’ Club of SIHA conducted a mocktail display on 15th of August 2011. The different types of flags were depicted using glasswares layered with juices and syrups. The display included The Flag of Calcutta, Nationalist Flag, Gandhi’s Flag, Indian Flag etc.The event was named ‘TIRANGAA’ and was appreciated by the SIHA mates.

BARISTA 2011-Bleed Blue, the real champs

BARISTA 2011 was organized by ‘THE ELIXIR’ Club of SIHA on 6th of August 2011 @ SIHA Seminar Hall. The preliminary round of BARISTA 2011 was organized on 5th of August 2011 and on its basis, 2 teams of Blue House and 2 teams of Red House made it to the finals of BARISTA. This F&B Service Quiz competition comprised of 5 rounds namely: The Basic Round, Wines of the world, Spirits of the world, Cocktails of the world and The Visual Round. At the end of the final round, there was a tie between the Red house team and the Blue house team which resulted in an extra question round. Blue House (Bleed Blue) finally won the battle and was crowned as BARISTA 2011 Winners.Mr.Varghese Johnson, Faculty Club Co-ordinator of ‘THE ELIXIR’ Club was the Quiz Master.
